LANGUAGE FEATURES FOR RUGBY AND LEAGUE
The language features used are: simile, metaphor, personification, alliteration and onomatopoeia. Please write the language features after each sentence. Refer back to the definitions if you need to. Note: There may be more than one language feature for each number.
1) The Hornby league team were a machine against Haeata. metaphor

12) Haeata licked their wounds after the full time whistle. metaphor
13) The Hornby backs were like a fully firing flight squadron. Alliteration, simile
14) The forwards were a fleet of tanks demolishing everything in their path.metaphor
15) The Junior League competition is shaping up to be a monster competition. metaphor
16) The first round of the competition chuckled at critics who said it was going to be boring. alliteration
17) The Hornby fields sighed with its growing pains. metaphor
18) Junior and Khan were like unstoppable machines. simile
19) Jaedon was a turbo-charged bulldozer on the field. metaphor
20) Vai was valiant, violently vicious, and very vigilant as he vanquished the opposition with a vengeance! alliteration
